Glimpse into the Book Design Process

• My original idea for the book was to highlight girls exploring architecture careers.  Of all the architects licensed in the US, there are only .04% of professionals that are African American women.  So I wanted to tell the story of architecture careers being a valid career choose for girls and POC.

• Then the storyline really follows my own career in architecture.  Many many times, I considered changing my career path but architecture continued (as still does) to draw me back in.  Could I have been a really good veterinarian, maybe!  But my heart always came back to design and architecture!
